The Research Assistant

There was an argument. Hilary went to bed feeling awful. The silence in the house was deafening. Hillary would enter the room and everyone would leave. Having no idea what to do, she called the Research Assistant.

The dwelling was in a lovely walk neighborhood near the University. Hillary had three lodgers. And when she decided to move her elderly mum in, one of the lodgers was asked to vacate within an allowable time frame to make room.

The lodger that was asked to leave was a troublemaker. Late on rent, sleeping with other lodgers, gossiping, not pitching in to clean up. Hilary and her husband were questioning themselves and the rejected lodger was turning the others against them.

The Research Assistant read through governing laws and got expert advice. A flexible plan was devised.

Hilary reviewed the options with her husband and picked a combination of steps that they felt were workable for the household.

They documented everything that happened and made amends with the lodgers. Hillary took extra care to make everyone comfortable and eventually, things blew over. Time passed and mum moved in to a happy household, restored to peace.
